1 HAND DRYER =
HYGIENE KIT GIVEN AWAY

JVD has been developing and manufacturing products with the aim of taking care of you since 1984. It is therefore natural for us to join the association Eau & Vie to ensure sanitation and running water for slum dwellers.
Together, we are launching the operation: 1 hand dryer = a hygiene distributed. For each hand dryer from the Air range (Exp'Air, Stell'Air, Copt'Air and Sup'Air) purchased a hygiene kit will be distributed in underprivileged neighbourhoods in the Philippines.

2.2 billion people do not have access to drinking water

  • 3 areas of interventions across the country : Cavite, Tanauan and Mandaue-Cebu.
  • 19 slums benefit from running water at home, hygiene awareness and training in fire prevention and emergency plans thanks to the Eau & Vie association.

We also wanted to contribute to the dissemination og our values by engaging our clients in this common perspective. Therefore, we have joined forces with the Eau&Vie association and set up a partnership to fight for access to running water for all.

It couldn’t be easier : for every hand dryer in the Air range (Exp’Air, Stell’Air, Copt’Air and Sup’Air) puchased a hygiene kit will be distributed in underprivileged neighbourhoods in the Philippines.

Philippines

Despite a GDP growth rate of 6.5% in 2018, social disparities persist in the Philippines and the country has an HDI of 0.699 in 2018, placing it 116th out of 189 countries. With an extremely fast population growth since the 1990s, the country now has nearly 105 million inhabitants.

This has resulted in massive urbanisation, in 2017 around 45% of the population lived in a city and this figure is expected to double by 2050. Urbanisation is often uncontrolled and people live in overcrowded and poorly built housing, negatively affecting their health and financial situation.

THE CHOICE OF THE ASSOCIATION

Eau&Vie, a French NGO founded in 2008, was born out of the desire to sustainably improve the living conditions of the most disavantaged populations. Eau&Vie is a public utility association of international solidarity that works to strengthen the autonomy of populations by providing then with access to water and by providing them with knowledge on the importance of hygiene on a daily basis.
